The noise texture should repeat without a problem, however if you want to make something like a paper texture repeat, we would do the following. Use the Offset filter in Photoshop (Filters > Other > Offset) to offset the texture in a way which will easily show the 'joins'. Then use the Clone tool to merge the joins.

If you've used the Offset filter before then this should make a lot of sense, if not then you might need to have a bit of a play around!

As a follow up, how would one apply the noise or paper technique as a repeating background image?

I've used it a little and it has worked well for me.

It did cause a few issues originally because I'd been trying other plugins and also I was not using the specific code.

Thanks for this article... was really helpful in deciding whether or not to drop the $50 on the addons.

Cheers

Plugin is buggy as hell. Has never worked for me and many others. Just browse the ACF forum. Many, many, many posts about the SAME issue and it has NEVER been addressed by author. I would avoid if you want to keep your BP down.

Sometimes all you need is a simple timer at least to get you used and comfortable with the practice. In which case I recommend http://ipadstopwatch.com

Rag, Its got nothing to do with the Server, its a Browser End Standard.
For the Rest of you, you are focusing on the Programmer rather than the user. Think of it this way, a Users experience will be better because the user will not need to install different dependencies such as updates on Flash player. Java clients etc, it will all simply just work. that is exciting for the user, and as a Developer myself, I have wrote some Animations and games using HTML5, and I find it to be pretty Easy, simple to use and straight forward to implement, the issue will come at protecting your code, keeping your application secrets etc, but with some smart Server side coding, you can protect this. You may argue that all the effort you spent learning Flash or what ever is lost, but this is the whole point of IT, its always moving, and thus Evolving, and as we keep learning this stuff, we also improve. if you want to site on your hands and get left behind, become an accountant or lawyer, or one of those IT managers that gets left behind in their knowledge base.
